We are currently finishing up the partner portal, this should be in a few weeks.
Going to do some tests get some feedback and then create the whitelabel feature.
The timeline should be around 1-2 months, could be more, but will keep this thread active and update any new release concerning the Partner / Whitelabel features.

However, I’m confused on the fact that white-label is available only to Tier 9 ??

🤔 If partner portal is available to ALL users, then wouldn’t it make sense to also have custom domain / whitelabel available for ALL users too?

ie Anyone with the ability to sell to clients needs to have custom domain / white-label to promote their own brand to the clients they are selling to - otherwise they could loose the clients

Any consideration to this please?

P.s I also see where the white-label is available to ALL widgets (regardless of tier), so now I’m confused! What’s the difference between white-label in Tier 9 and white-label for ALL the widgets regardless of tier?

I will try to define the difference between the Partner Space, Whitelabel Dashboard, and Whitelabel Widget.

Partner Space

This feature is available to ALL users even the free tier, based on affiliation. The idea is to invite your clients, manage their widgets, and earn a commission from their subscriptions.

The person invited will need to create an account and use Fouita brand associated with the business name that you will be able to provide when signing up to the partner space.

Whitelabel dashboard

This will be custom for Tier 9 users (Agency plan), the goal is to provide a separate portal with CNAME configuration to host it into your own website, without having the Fouita branding associated.

The reason for having this only for Tier 9 is the credits associated, for Tier 9 the credits are 5M monthly views, those are the total credits that an agency can split between customers. The user won't need to purchase anything through Fouita platform, any form of payment can be arranged between the end customer and the Agency.

Whitelabel widgets

This is associated with all LTD or Paid accounts, this feature ensures that the widget embedded on the website won't have Fouita branding on it.

I appreciate the detailed explanation. As a follow-up question, what advantages is there in having the white-label dashboard versus just having whitelabel widgets? 🤷‍♀️

I know with the white-label widgets, we can still charge clients privately, so is there any benefits to having the white-label dashboard for clients to log in to? 🤔

The Whitelabel widgets will need you to log in to Fouita and edit the widgets (which is the current situation).
The Whitelabel dashboard will allow your customers to signup/login and edit their widgets as they like.

When I embed the widgets, it has Fouita’s url. Is there a way to customize that so it shows my own url?
(As the widgets should be white-labeled already and available to everyone, right?)

As long the URL is not visible to the end user, we should be within the Whitelabel.
But if you want to change the script URL and the widget direct URL, there is a simple way to do it.

1. Changing the script URL

You can visit the direct script source and download the JS file (CTRL+S to save the file), then upload it to your own server (or CDN) and import it to your page.

2. Changing the widget's direct URL

You can do the same with the page content, view the source code and copy it to a page hosted on your servers.

Hmmm… doing that for every widget we create quickly becomes cumbersome with time.

💡 Rather than downloading and uploading files, is it possible to have a setting in the dashboard where we can set the white-label url we want to use for both the direct link and embed code? This will make things soooo much easier… so one setting changes the embed code url and direct url for ALL the widgets in one swoop! 😀

(🤔 Other tools - eg Spott - use a CNAME setting to change the embed and direct link url to a custom url across all uploaded content. Might be what is required here).

That would be so much more user-friendly and I’m sure no one would mind waiting a few days (or weeks) for this 🙂
